These pieces are made of the highest quality of this material. Rainbow obsidian is a stunning volcanic glass known for the iridescent banding that becomes visible when this stone is cut and polished. Naturally occurring, these incredible colors come from microscopic inclusions of magnetite. The banding, as in other obsidian, occurs as lava cools at different rates. This material is said to represent protection and hope.
